Thursday, January 7th, 2010

The basic diet of cabbage soup diet is low in calories 7 days. There are several versions of this scheme, but all include the consumption of large amounts of cabbage soup associated with specific foods.

Principle
Some say that cabbage has the property to burn calories. The purpose of the cabbage soup diet is to eat cabbage soup, adding some food every day. This system of 7 days (to be followed by a stabilization phase of 7 days) is based on the absorption of a low-calorie soup, combined with 2 or 3 other foods depending on the day. Everything to eat at will. The soup is made from seasonal vegetables (onion, cabbage, tomato, celery, carrot …), boiled for ten minutes without fat, then simmered until tender. They are not mashed or mixed to increase the satiating effect. You can vary your soup in the kitchen with spices. Side beverages, teas and unsweetened coffee and water are allowed.

Namely
The cabbage soup diet should be followed only 7 days at a time, not more, with a break of at least two weeks between each diet period. If you have any health problems, it is best to consult a health professional before starting this scheme. You must instead adopt a healthy lifestyle and balanced in order to maintain a slim body and health.

Glycemic Diet

Monday, December 28th, 2009

The glycemic diet is a diet based on nutritional intake of foods with low glycemic index with the objective of controlling insulin levels in the blood. The glycemic index establishes levels of blood insulin concentration of the different types of food.

Insulin is a substance that regulates the amount of sugar in the blood and brain indirectly indicated the need to eat or not. The glycemic diet is based on the idea that by maintaining a constant level of insulin will have a normal appetite to make us eat the required amounts.

To maintain a constant level of insulin is necessary to choose foods with low glycemic index, because foods with higher glycemic index cause a greater concentration of insulin in the blood and therefore an increased appetite.

Foods with high glycemic index
* Sugary foods such as soft drinks, cakes, sweets
* Refined or processed foods artificially: flour, bread, pastry industry, chocolates
* Starch-rich foods such as potatoes or potatoes

The glycemic diet restricts various food groups, so this is an unbalanced diet. It is a safe diet to lose weight permanently. Consult your doctor before dieting glycemic.

- Is incompatible with feeding every day.

But think about it: Do you keep losing kilos to leave? Would you be able to live on grapefruit than two days? Would you follow this diet if your friend from the gym said I had not lost three kilos in a week?
