Why should I detox?
A toxin is a chemical that has harmful effects on our body. Food, water, environmental causes can overload of toxins which are processed by the kidney and liver, and eliminated through sweat, urine and feces.
Some believe that our body can not completely eliminate the toxins, but these remain in the digestive tract, gastrointestinal and lymphatic system and can cause all sorts of problems, fatigue, headaches, etc..
A detox diet allows us to favor the elimination of these toxins and promote cell renewal. They prevent and cure diseases, help to concentrate, make us feel healthier … Proponents of such diets is related to the elimination of toxins, something that has not been proven scientifically. (more…)
